We are always happy to welcome new children and families at Woodlands Academy.  Please click on the link below to read our admissions policy.  Alternatively, contact the school to arrange a visit to come and have a look around.

At Woodlands, we have a dedicated Families and Communities Team (FACT).

They will ensure that all new families receive a follow up meeting once your child/ren has started with us.  This is an opportunity to ask questions about the school and make sure that your child has the most settled transition into our school.

The FACT hold regular events to involve you in your child’s learning as much as you want to be.  You will find there are workshops on how we teach Phonics, how best to support your child with maths and various other subjects.

FACT are available to answer your questions and queries every morning from 8.30am in the community room – feel free to pop in and have a chat and a cuppa.

We recognise that the way we teach isn’t the way that you were taught when you were at school.  So if something seems a little confusing make sure you speak to your child’s teacher.  Or better still, come along to homework club where you can grab a bite to eat and work on your child’s creative homework alongside school staff.

We look forward to seeing you there!
